Steampunk at Lynn Goode Vintage

One of our newest additions, the Futuro 3 Chaise Lounge (pictured above) was designed by Massimo Iosa Ghini in 1987. With its sleek lines and angular construction, the chaise draws undeniable ties to the genre of Steampunk which was originally a sub-genre of science fiction paying homage to the industrialization of Western civilization. Steampunk became a catalyst of futuristic design and architecture beginning in the 1980’s. Pieces that became a product of this genre utilized a culmination of materials such as bronzed metals, wood, and leather.

In addition to the Futuro 3 Chaise, we also have a few other recent additions in the style of Steampunk such as an original Pallone Chair designed for Cantoni in 1980.
