Maharam Fabric

In 1902, Louis Maharam, a Russian Immigrant, founded Maharam Fabrics. During the 1940s, Maharam served as one of the premier sources for theatrical textiles for costume and set designs – later evolving into a “pioneer of performance-driven textiles for commercial interiors in the ‘60s.” Marahams’s timeless elegance in product and design is due to their focus and commitment in finding just the right balance between history and innovation. As quoted in their company overview, “the studio focuses on four main themes: utility, technology, tradition, and luxury.” Source: Maharam.com
